Yoga at the Stone Barn

What better place to practice yoga than the Stone Barn at Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, with nothing but the sounds of birds and nature serving as the backdrop to your practice? Taught by a certified instructor from Yoga on Union in downtown New Bedford, this program is suitable for yogis of all levels. Classes are ongoing throughout the summer–join for one or several!
Classes are offered four days each week according to the following schedule:
- Wednesdays, 6pm-7:30pm, June 15-August 31
- Fridays, 9am-10:30am, May 27-October 14
- Saturdays, 9am-10:30am, May 28-October 15
- Sundays, 7am-8:30am & 9am-10:30am, May 29-October 16
Wednesday nights offer a Full Spectrum Yoga practice
This practice will be instructed by Juliet Loranger and will include some vinyasa (sun salutations), Pranayama (breath work), chanting, and meditation. Along with these, you will learn alignment and form in a range of postures and a range of stages (from basic to intermediate).
Sunday morning 7am offers a Kundalini practice
This yoga practice will focus on the basics of postures, breath and meditation with Kundalini yoga, a physical, mental and spiritual practice for developing strength, awareness, character, and consciousness. This technology uses active and postural asana based kriyas, breath, and meditations to target whole body systems.
All are welcome, every class is for beginners new to yoga, practicing yogis and anyone wanting a unique workout.
Please bring your own yoga mat, water bottle and wear comfortable clothes suitable for yoga. Ample parking is available onsite at 786 Horseneck Road in South Dartmouth.
Classes can be paid for at the start of class.
