“Batty for Bats” Talk
This event happened in the past.Plymouth, MA 02360
Bats are as unique as they are important. They’re the only flying mammal, using echolocation to find their way through the darkness. We need bats like we need birds and bees — they act as both predators for pesky mosquito and pollinators for fruit trees, and are considered a keystone species in the food chain. Come learn about these fascinating creatures of the night this October with naturalist Angela Gordon at this all-ages, family-friendly program at the Wildlands Trust.
Angela became interested in bats while teaching at an Environmental Learning Center in Minnesota when she developed this program geared towards middle-schoolers. Now working seasonally as an outdoor educator on Cape Cod, she’ll be heading back home to Michigan next month. Be sure to catch this program before she goes!
