Features

Boat ramp and docks at Old Landing Wharf in Marion.

Marion and Rochester residents can launch from the town-owned ramp at Old Landing Wharf in Marion.

Located at the head of Sippican Harbor, Old Landing Wharf offers Marion and Rochester residents access to the bustling waters of the harbor and Buzzards Bay. The concrete boat ramp next to the wharf offers a place for boats large and small to launch into the harbor. Boaters can purchase a wharf slip or dinghy storage to keep their boats at Old Landing Wharf for the summer. (There’s often a wait list, so call early in the season!)

Habitats & Wildlife

Sippican Harbor’s deep, sparkling waters attract thousands of boaters each summer. From here, it’s an easy cruise out to the open waters of Buzzards Bay, where excellent fishing and sailing awaits. Kayakers can explore the inner harbor’s marshy, protected shorelines, as well as nearby Hammett Cove.

These tidal waters are full of life. Look for cormorants perched on nearby rocks and mooring balls, drying their ink-black feathers in the sun. Above, ospreys soar through the skies in summer, searching for fish swimming just below the water’s surface.
