Get your little ones to discover the outdoors during Itty Bitty Bay Explorers, a series of four free outings on Wednesdays in April hosted by the Buzzards Bay Coalition and the Wareham Land Trust. Through fun games and hands-on activities, your whole family can learn about Buzzards Bay’s animals, plants, and habitats.
Itty Bitty Bay Explorers is recommended for families with young children. We encourage you to attend all four programs, but it is not required.
- Water, Water Everywhere (Apr. 4): Enjoy fun, hands-on experiments at the Lyman Reserve that will help you learn all about what makes water so special.
- Beach Exploration (Apr. 11): Learn about the intertidal zone and some fun facts about species that call this habitat their home at North Water Street Beach.
- Frog in a Bog (Apr. 18): Search for frogs, tadpoles, and other animals and plants living in the unique habitats at Douglas S. Westgate Conservation Areaa.
- Fishing Fun (Apr. 25): For the final program, learn how to fish in the freshwater Weweantic River at Horseshoe Mill.
