July is the month of the Full Buck Moon. At this time, a buck’s antlers are in full growth mode. This Full Moon was also known as the Thunder Moon because thunderstorms are so frequent during this month.
Join Mass Audubon at the Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary for a 3-mile night hike through the sanctuary, where this gorgeous full moon will light the way.
Dress for an outdoor walk over uneven terrain, and please bring an extra layer, water bottle and insect repellent. Program limited to 12 adults. Registration is required.
