Join the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation for their four part Junior Ranger program series. In this all-ages series, kids will learn how to hike, camp, and identify animals of the forest like a real ranger!

In this installment, explore the sorts of plants and animals that live on a pond, and learn how to tell if the water of the pond is clean or not based on the type of insects that live in the water.

Dress for the weather, wear sturdy foot gear, and bring water and a snack. Consider bug spray and sun screen as appropriate. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Rain may cancel, so call ahead to confirm.
