New Member Hike at Copicut Woods

Join the Appalachian Moutain Club as they welcome new and current members with a winter hike through Copicut Woods. This 516-acre property is both a prime destination and the southern gateway to the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve. Copicut introduces nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts to an entire regional ecosystem.
Required equipment: hiking boots, rain gear, water, and snacks. As there may be snow and ice, microspikes are recommended. They will be hiking on many relatively flat trails bordering beautiful stone walls. There are some bog bridges so make sure you have sturdy hiking boots. There is an old farmhouse and barn foundations to explore also. The hike will be approximately 4.5 miles. Refreshments will be served after the hike.
