Family Stargazing
This event happened in the past.New Bedford, MA 02744
Join us for a family stargazing event—five families allowed—at Fort Taber in New Bedford for a night exploring space. Hot chocolate will be provided!
We will use a Celestron 8-inch SCT telescope on an AVX equatorial mount. In lieu of an eyepiece, we will attach a camera and view the images on a computer screen, making this a safe and socially distanced exploration
Please be sure to check this page before heading out for the event. In the case of cloudy skies, we will need to cancel/postpone the stargazing session.
Attendance is free, but space is limited due to the need for social distancing. Registration is required.
All participants more than five years old are required to wear a mask, in accordance with state regulations. All Coalition events are organized to meet current social distancing regulations, including limiting group size.
Cost: Free
