Open the door and step outside with a StoryWalk® this season.
The book that we are featuring in various different locations this season is “The Thing About Bees: A Love Letter”. In this gentle picture book fantasy, a child’s world transforms through his hard work, imagination, and persistence when he steps outside, into to the brave new world of his imagination. The story has been assembled on signs for you to stroll along the trails and enjoy.
When you visit, you are encouraged to check in via QR code to be eligible for prizes. Participants who attend and register for all four stories throughout the year will be recognized at the Acushnet River Herring Festival in May 2022 by our mascot Clean Water. Participants who register will also be entered into a raffle for some BBC swag, also being drawn at the Herring Festival.
Please note the locations below as the story travels.
Spanish translation is available on the signs of the book pages.
