Watershed Ride Registration Launches

Registration for the 19th Annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride is now open!

Taking place on Sunday, October 5 with 100, 77, and 41-mile route options, this fully supported ride winds through farmland, villages, cityscapes, cranberry bogs, and coastal country backroads, and ends in Woods Hole overlooking beautiful Buzzards Bay.

The ride is a fully supported event with rest stops and lunch, mechanical support along the route, a SAG wagon, optional pre- or post-event shuttle service for you and your bike, and a celebration at the finish line. More info, including cycling routes, will be posted on the Coalition website to help registrants plan for the big day. One of the stops has changed this year from East Over Farm to Red Brick Farm, one of the Coalition’s newest properties. It changes the distance of the shortest option by a few miles but will showcase the beauty of this Coalition destination.

Those wishing to sign up can register here. The registration fee is $65 with a $300 fundraising minimum. Raised funds will go to the Coalition’s work to protect and restore clean water in Buzzards Bay and beyond.

Those who participate in the Ride will be joining a vibrant community of fellow cyclists, making new friends, and enjoying a shared passion for the Coalition’s mission. The funds raised by the Swim, Run, and Ride have helped the Coalition carry out its important work in the preservation, restoration, and sustainable use and enjoyment of Buzzards Bay and its watershed. With a mission to enhance the health of the Bay ecosystem for all, the Coalition engages in outdoor exploration, preservation, research, and advocacy efforts, supported by more than 12,000 members.

The Coalition thanks its current sponsors Jim’s Organic Coffee, Buzzards Bay Brewing, Hutker Architects, Blount Clam Shack, Lanagan & Co, and Fiber Optic Center. The Coalition is seeking additional business sponsors and race day volunteers. Find out more by contacting Kate Reilly, Events Manager, at (508) 999-6363 ext. 208 or reilly@savebuzzardsbay.org.
