A strategically-important 33-acre stretch of forested wetlands and woodlands just north of Route 6 in Marion will be permanently protected thanks to broad community collaboration.

Because they aren’t lined at the bottom, these lagoons leak as much as 50,000 gallons of contaminated wastewater every day. The town must fix these leaking sewage lagoons and comply with state law.
