Join the Buzzards Bay Coalition on Thursday, March 9 for a showing of a fun and informative documentary that’s all about dogs! The 45-minute film Dog Dazed will be screened during AHA! Night in the Richard C. Wheeler Bay Learning Center. You’ll have the chance to win pooch-centered prizes and learn about our upcoming dog walk on May 6. In addition to the showing, you can also participate in fun coloring activities and a family-friendly clean water demonstration in the Learning Center from 5-8pm.

In Dog Dazed, filmmaker Helen Slinger dives into the relationship between dogs and humans, revealing the environmental and social impact of our furry friends. From the mounting poo-problem to off-leash rights to the clash between pooches and wildlife, Slinger highlights the major concerns of non-dog owners while celebrating the tight bond between pups and their people and encouraging a new relationship that values the environment and our neighbors as much as the dog. By picking up after our pets and respecting leash rules, dog owners are protecting clean land and water and keeping our beloved public lands safe and enjoyable for everyone.
