Navigate the trails of Wareham and the pages of field guides during April Vacation with the Wareham Land Trust and the Buzzards Bay Coalition. During these walks, you’ll learn about the plants and animals that live in the forests and marshes of Wareham and how to use a field guide to identify them. All ages are welcome to come sharpen their skills. Bring your own field guide or borrow one of ours!
- Monday, April 17: At Marks Cove, we’ll learn how to identify the diverse plant life that thrives in Wareham. Wander through the retired cranberry bogs, forests, and marshes of this seaside property in search of interesting plants, trees, and flowers.
- Tuesday, April 18: Discover the animals that call the pine forests and salt marshes of Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary home. With careful eyes and quiet voices, we’ll search for birds, mammals, and reptiles and use our field guide skills to identify them.
