Nothing says fall like the spectacular “view from the top” of the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve from the Copicut Hill Fire Tower. Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation Forest Supervisor Glenn Williams will welcome visitors who climb the stairs that lead to the lookout platform. Copicut Hill, at 345′ above sea level, is the highest natural point in southern Bristol County.
Meet at the intersection of Yellow Hill Road and Tower Road in Fall River. Note that most roads within the Bioreserve are in poor condition; the best paved road route to meeting location is to come in via Yellow Hill Road. Tower Road will be on your right, just after 71 Yellow Hill Road, and is gated. Park along Yellow Hill Road.
Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.
