Kick off the spring season with this owl hike! Exploring the woodlands of the Lloyd Center for the Environment, the group will attempt to lure owls with taped calls. Screech, barred, and great horned are the three owl species common to the region that you may encounter, along with other creatures that lurk when the sun goes down. With some luck, the resident pair of barred owls will be in the area and actively respond to calls!

Participants should bring (if available) binoculars, camera, and flashlight, and also wear footwear for light walking on forest trails.

This event is limited to 20 participants and is only suitable for children ages 10 and older. Pre-registration required by noon on Thursday, March 23.

Cost: $9 Lloyd Center members, $12 nonmembers (children under 12: half price)
