Want to help people of all ages connect with the outdoors? Become an Outdoor Exploration Assistant! Join the Buzzards Bay Coalition on April 24 for an Explore Buzzards Bay Volunteer Training Session.

Long-term stewardship depends on a public that knows and loves Buzzards Bay. Through our outdoor exploration programs, Bay Adventures, and youth engagement work, we encourage more people to make personal connections with the Bay and their local environment.

We seek to provide a wide range of programs that promote discovery, wonder and adventure. Our ever expanding program list includes: Learn to Quahog, Bird Walks, Kayak Adventures, Snowshoeing, Snorkeling and field trips to conservation lands with local schools and groups. These activities span from the beaches of Westport, to the woods of cranberry country, all the way to the harbors of Falmouth, and we need enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to help us!

As a participant of this training, you will walk away with:

  1. An introduction to Buzzards Bay and the work of Buzzards Bay Coalition
  2. Knowledge of the ways that we engage with the community through Bay Adventures and Youth Engagement
  3. Information on volunteer positions available and what it means to volunteer in our department
  4. The knowledge needed to start working with the community and lead various outdoor events!

Light refreshments will be provided.
