Become an Outdoor Exploration Assistant and help people discover outdoor activities that deepen their appreciation for the natural beauty of Buzzards Bay.

Our outdoor exploration programs and youth engagement activities encourage people to make personal connections with the Bay and their local environment. It’s a critical part of our mission to improve and protect the Bay and its watershed lands.

Our programs cover a wide range of activities—learning to quahog, bird walks, kayaking, snowshoeing, snorkeling, and field trips to conservation lands with local schools and groups. These activities span from the beaches of Westport to the woods of cranberry country, all the way to the harbors of Falmouth, and we need enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to help us!

As a participant of this training, you will walk away with:

  1. An introduction to Buzzards Bay and the work of Buzzards Bay Coalition
  2. Knowledge of the ways that we engage with the community through Bay Adventures and Youth Engagement
  3. Information on volunteer positions available and what it means to volunteer in our department
  4. The knowledge needed to start working with the community and lead various outdoor events!

No prior registration required. Light refreshments will be served.
