Exploring the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve Walk
This event happened in the past.Fall River, MA 02720
Join Green Futures for a walk through the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve, to view the winter woods and the trees and shrubs that have decided to keep their green year-round.
Unlike many other parts of the country we get four distinct seasons here in New England. In January, without any leaves on deciduous trees and shrubs in winter, one can see far into the forest. Take a walk and see what you can see in a winter forest of browns, grays and greens.
Meet at Blossom Road at the small parking lot, yellow gate, approximately 500′ south of 2929 Blossom Road, Fall River, MA. Due to poor road conditions make sure you approach the meeting location from the Westport, south end, of Blossom Road.
Length of walk approximately 2 1/2 miles. Wear appropriate shoes/boots for hiking rough woodland paths and trails. Water and snack always a good idea.
Rain or heavy snow cancels walk.
