Exploring the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve Walk

Explore the hills and valleys along Rattlesnake Brook, a topographically varied and historically interesting section of the Freetown-Fall River State Forest, part of the greater Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve. Approximate length of walk 5 miles. Water and a snack are good to have. Trails may be wet/muddy, so wear appropriate footwear. If snow cover is substantial, snowshoes are a good idea. Rain cancels walk.
Meet on Bell Rock Road at the Fall River/Freetown boundary sign, approximately 1/2 mile south of the intersection of Bell Rock Road, Copicut Road, and High Street, Freetown. You will see cars parked along the west side of the road. Bell Rock Road from Fall River side is auto wrecking. Come from Freetown side, all paved roads.
