What’s that sound?! Every spring, early in the morning or before you go to bed, you may hear a loud high-pitched sound coming from hundreds of voices. It’s the spring peepers! These adorable amphibians are the herald of spring, coming out of hibernation before almost every other frog.

Join the Department of Conservation and Recreation at Myles Standish State Forest to learn how these remarkable animals develop from tadpoles to tree frogs, how they hunt for insects day and night, and why they are singing so much. For all ages.
