Join the Marine Biological Laboratory and educators from Buzzards Bay Coalition’s Woods Hole Outreach Center for a Learn to Snorkel at Stony Beach. During this shallow water discovery, beginners can get comfortable with wearing a mask and breathing through a snorkel, and then explore the rock jetties to test their snorkeling skills! Wear shoes and clothing to get wet. Snorkeling gear will be provided.

Program for children 8+. Please note that there must be an adult accompanying a child in the water at all times. Children must be comfortable in the water, and flotation devices are recommended. Please also note this will be a shallow water exploration, and we will not be going out of standing depth for any child.

After our exploration, be sure to visit the Pierce Exhibit Center to learn about the story of MBL! Featuring live animals, stunning underwater video footage, a hands-on microscope, and an interactive squid – you won’t want to miss it!

Participants can meet and park at MBL’s Swope parking lot, at the intersection of Albatross St. and Millfield St.
