Create something beautiful, and leave a beach cleaner than you found it!

Join Buzzards Bay Coalition, the Fairhaven-Acushnet Land Preservation Trust, and New Bedford-based artist John Middleton on a beach clean-up in search of the strange and interesting “shoreline objects” he uses to create unique pieces of art. Coalition educators will serve as guides to Fairhaven’s Marsh Island, while John will help you find objects worn and transformed by the tides.

Then, on May 6th, 15th, and 20th, attend a series of art workshops at the Coalition in which John will help guide you to create beautiful and unique recycled art sculptures for your home. (You are not required to attend all of the art workshop dates, but you will be automatically registered for these workshops when you sign up for the cleanup.)

We will meet at Buzzards Bay Coalition Headquarters in New Bedford and carpool to Marsh Island, as parking is limited.
