Join researchers and students from UMASS Dartmouth and the UMD School for Marine Science & Technology (SMAST), Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), and the Buzzards Bay Coalition to explore the science of marine life communication. This New Bedford Science Café KIDS event will feature kid-friendly, hands-on activities including: how dolphins and fish communicate, how sound travels in the ocean, solutions to ocean noise pollution, and more.

The event will begin with an informative talk from the marine life researchers, followed by hands-on activities at the Meet-A-Scientist stations. Free cookies will also be provided by the New Bedford Whaling Museum.
