Connect with the land and wildlife of Douglas S. Westgate Conservation Area by joining Wareham Land Trust’s  TerraCorps/AmeriCorps Land Stewardship Coordinator, Mike Perrin, on a series of informative birding hikes! The group will be searching the forest for our hearty wintering songbirds. Target species: Black-capped Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, Downy Woodpecker.

Each month will follow a topic relevant to the ecological happenings of the time of year, spanning from wintering seaducks to migrating warblers. No prior birding experience is needed, no specific birding equipment is needed (though bring a pair of binoculars if you have them!), and all are welcome!

Mike will be offering sessions on weekends (1st Saturdays) and weekdays (3rd Wednesdays) to accommodate varying schedules. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions, but attendance is not mandatory.

Saturday Session: March 7th
