Due to the critical threat level of EEE virus in Wareham, this program has been moved up from its original time (5:30-6:30) in order to ensure all participants are indoors before dusk, and moved to a new location.

Join Buzzards Bay Coalition and the Wareham Land Trust as we honor longtime supporter, lifelong educator, and environmental advocate Richard Wheeler with a series of free kayak explorations across Wareham.

This month, join us for an opportunity to explore the landscape and ecology of the Weweantic River. We will be setting off from Onset Beach to explore around Wickets Island and Burgess Point, keeping our eyes peeled for water birds and other local wildlife!

Please note that you are required to bring your own boat. If you do not have a boat, please contact Nemasket Kayak Center (Mention the Buzzards Bay Coalition at Nemasket Kayak for a 10% discount off of your rental!)
