About our guide: Carlos T. B. Fragata is a local kayaker. He holds a double major in Marine and General Biology from UMass Dartmouth, has worked in laboratories doing toxicology tests for marine and fresh water invertebrates, collected and identified deep sea and shallow water marine and shallow freshwater macro invertebrates, raised trout, and has worked for two town Conservation Commissions and MassDOT. He presently works as an Environmental Analyst for MassDEP in the Wetlands and Waterways Program. His claim to fame is simultaneously tying two bowline knots, one in each hand, without looking.
