Sailing Seminar: High School/College Sailing Discussion for Athletes

This seminar will be an open discussion of High School and College Sailing. This seminar will be predominantly a question and answer format so please come prepared with any questions you may have. We will devote some time during the seminar to discussing fleet race starting strategy, because in short course racing, a good start means everything! To conclude the seminar, we will discuss the process of joining a high school or college sailing team and how recruiting works in college sailing.

Take your sailing to a new level and get a jump on the upcoming sailing season! This seminar is part of a free 5-session Sailing Seminar Series this winter at Onset Bay Center. Stop by for just one evening, or join us every week to learn about a variety of topics related to sailing and team racing! Each seminar is a stand alone event, and participants do not have to attend any of the other seminars to benefit. Participants should have previous sailing experience and some experience racing. The main focus of the seminars is to give local Buzzards Bay sailors a chance to improve sailing skills during their season off the water. Local High School and College sailors and coaches are highly encouraged to attend. Please register ahead of time so that we can have the appropriate amount of materials for all participants.
