Boating safety is of the utmost importance when you are on or around the bay. In partnership with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Cape Cod Canal Station, BBC is thrilled to offer several FREE seminars to help everyone feel more safe and comfortable around Buzzards Bay. The Coast Guard Auxiliary has taught a number of safe boating courses and seminars for youth and the community at large at the Onset Bay Center and returns this Fall to provide the same service. 

Imagine, the captain of a vessel becomes incapacitated or falls overboard. You are the obvious person to take over, and you are Suddenly In Command.  This boating safety primer seminar is designed for those not who are not generally at the helm and will help you to be prepared with the basics in case of an emergency. Learn about your vessel and its operating principles. Also learn about potential boating mishaps and how you can help minimize them. All ages welcome!
