North Water Street Beach
Take a stroll to North Water Street Beach, a sandy strip of shoreline tucked in a residential neighborhood near the center of Onset Village. Although it’s small, this Wareham Land Trust-owned beach offers colorful sunset views of Broad Cove and Onset’s Stone Bridge.
Features

Look for ducks, geese, and other waterfowl on the water throughout the year from North Water Street Beach.
Nestled in historic Onset Village, North Water Street Beach is a wonderful destination to walk to when visiting town. This is a small beach, and most of the sand vanishes at high tide, but it’s still enjoyable for a picnic and some fresh air. We recommend visiting at the end of the day to catch a gorgeous sunset over Broad Cove and the East River.
Paddlers can launch a kayak or paddleboard from the North Water Street Beach, too – it’s just a short carry from the street to the shore.
Habitats & Wildlife
The sheltered waters of Broad Cove and Onset Bay play host to a variety of waterbirds throughout the year. Come here with binoculars or a camera and look for different species of ducks, geese, and wading birds out on the water.
