Adventure awaits. Bay Adventures are free activities that take place at our reserves using trails, rivers, and beaches across the watershed and include a variety of hands-on, outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and more.
Bring the family for a festive Halloween stroll! Walk the decorated trail at your own pace and collect candy along the way. Most paths are ADA accessible, so explorers of all abilities can join the fun. This event is geared toward families with kids ages 2 to 12, but all ages are welcome!
We'll walk 1.3 miles past coastal sand dunes and campground en route to the Horseneck Point Life-Saving Station, where we'll watch the dramatic rise of the full moon as it lifts above the Buzzards Bay horizon.
Join us for an energizing trail walk through nature! We will keep a steady, active pace as we cover this long distance together. The terrain is mostly flat, with bog boards for crossing wet areas and exposed roots along the path.
Join us at the Onset Bay Center for our fourth-annual Halloween Paddle Parade! Dress up in your spookiest or most creative costume, and paddle with your crew around Wickets Island, guided by Onset Bay Center staff.
Check-in at the learning center, where we'll start with a seasonal storytime. Then, we'll head on over to the trailhead to handout gear. Kids will navigate the trails, explore the ecosystems, and discover plants, animals, and mushrooms along the way. Restrooms and a water bottle refill station will be available inside the learning center. Feel free to pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic in our outdoor amphitheater after the program.
