Seal & Seabird Cruise

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with the Buzzards Bay Coalition’s annual Seal and Seabird Cruise!

Experience the wonders of Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound as we partner with the Cuttyhunk Ferry Company to bring you up-close encounters with seals and seabirds in their natural habitat. This captivating cruise offers an opportunity to observe and learn about playful marine mammals and visiting seabirds, all while surrounded by breathtaking scenic views.

Cruises take off from New Bedford at 10am to Cuttyhunk and return to New Bedford at 2pm.

What's Included

  • 2-hour cruise aboard the Cuttyhunk Ferry with partial guidance
  • Seabird observation with interactive species identification and counting
  • 45-minute (roundtrip) guided walk at Cuttyhunk Island to the Town Center and Lookout Park
  • 15-minute scenic break at Lookout Park, the highest point on the island
  • Seal observation with commentary at Gull Island
  • Binoculars provided (limited availability)
